About Me
My first real camera was a Canon AE-1 reluctantly purchased for an Introduction to Photography course at university. With encouragement from a wonderful mentor, I overcame that reluctance and developed a full-blown passion for the art of photography.
An American by birth, I have been living and working in Europe since 2003. I strongly believe that meeting people from diverse backgrounds and experiencing different cultures is crucial to building a better world. I try to travel as much as possible and share my point of view through the art of photography.
Shakespeare said through Jacques the Bard, “All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players.” I have taken this message to heart in my photographic work. I focus on urban spaces created by the interaction of architecture and humanity. The isolation of humanity in the spaces it has created is a central theme in my work. I prefer to frame my photographs with a slightly larger frame than traditional street photography, blending landscape photography techniques with street photography to concentrate on the scene and not necessarily the individual actors.
I exhibit my work periodically and will announce those exhibitions on this site, on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. I look forward to meeting you at a future event!
Thank you for visiting.
